IRONWOOD TWP -- A 19-year-old Wakefield man is in custody on numerous theft charges. Deputies from the Gogebic County Sheriff's Department arrested the suspect early Saturday in connection with three vehicle thefts in Ironwood Township over the weekend.

Police said that initial investigations reveal that the suspect stole the vehicles and later abandoned them. He is also facing similar charges in Iron County, Wisconsin. He is jailed in Gogebic County on a $16,500 cash bond pending his arraignment.
