ISHPEMING -- The West End Community Arts Network is giving local artists the chance to shine.
The program is looking for a new logo, and they're asking anyone with an artistic eye who lives in the west end of Marquette County to help. Artists should include the network's name, and a cultural or historical drawing.
The program will be picking two winners, one from the youth category, and one from the adult.
"We want to get the kids involved and family's involved in the community because kids really like to help out with stuff, and we really want to get the community helping us too. We want to be part of the community big time," John French, the president, said.
The winners will receive $800 worth of art supplies that were donated by Michigamme's Kathi Hansen. The deadline for the logo contest is May 1 for the youth category and June 1 for the adult.
