Water cleared for consumption

NEGAUNEE -- The boil advisory for parts of the City of Negaunee was lifted on Thursday.

Residents in the areas listed below no longer need to boil their water because the City of Negaunee has analyzed water samples and stated that the system is now safe.

- Hungerford Ave. - from Birch St. to Croix St.
- Cedar St. - from Birch St. to Mass St.
- Birch St. - from Baldwin Ave. to Hungerford Ave.
- Mass St. - from Baldwin Ave. to Croix St.
- The 300 block of Croix St.

The City of Negaunee performed an intense flushing of the system to get the water system cleared for human consumption.  If you have any questions concerning the water issue you can contact the Department of Public works in Negaunee at (906) 475-9991.
