MARQUETTE -- Employees of a U.P. assisted living home are doing everything they can for one of their own. Staff at Brookridge Heights Assisted Living are hosting a collection for one of their caretakers.
Last week, Liz LaForest's home burned down in a fire. She and her two daughters lost everything. The Brookridge Staff wants to make sure the family has a proper Easter, so they're asking people to come in and donate clothes, gifts, and anything else that could help the family start over.
"Brookridge Heights has always been a family, and that's really been our trademark. What we're trying to do is help those who have helped us, and our care aides, our staff, and our residents are by far what makes this place what it is. If we can give back in any way, and show our appreciation for what they've done, we'd love to help out," said Joe LeBlanc of Brookridge Heights.
If you'd like to donate something, just stop in at Brookridge Heights anytime this week.
