NORWAY -- Some elderly residents in Niagara began their Easter festivities early by heading to the Niagara Senior Center located on Wednesday.

It wasn't long after the doors were open that seats began to fill for a fun-filled lunch.  This Easter celebration welcomed all those who graduated from Niagara High School to attend and encouraged alumni to bring family friends.

The center regularly offers meals to anyone 60 and over, Monday through Thursday, only requesting donations in exchange.

"You have to love people to do this job, and we do so it really makes us feel good that any small part we play in having this meal for these folks and there's always room for more," said Meal Site Manager Kathy Schutte.

Seniors who attended eagerly enjoyed the food, live entertainment and an afternoon catching up with former high school classmates.
