Woman sentenced for stealing laptop computers

She was ordered to pay fines and restitution

MARQUETTE -- The Rock woman who stole two laptops from Wal-Mart in Marquette Township has been fined and sentenced to one year probation.

Marie Johnson, 27, was charged with retail fraud in late December. Johnson turned herself in after video surveillance at Wal-Mart showed her leaving the building with two stolen laptops.

Judge Dennis Girard ordered her to pay $900 in fines and over $1,000 restitution.
