UPPER PENINSULA -- March came in like a lion, but it looks to leave us rather lamb-like.
March roared in with a snow storm. We picked up very impressive totals in some central U.P. areas. Ishpeming received over 20 inches of the white stuff.
And it was much colder than normal: our high on March 4th was 14 degrees.
Heading towards the end of the month, our weather world was turned upside-down when we experienced a historic heat wave. On March 21, Upper Michigan saw the first ever 81 degrees in March.
The normal high temperature for the end of March is 40 degrees. And we are expecting it to warm into the 40s and 50s today, a mild end to the month. Cloudy skies will be the rule this weekend, with only a few peeks of sunshine occassionally, mainly on Sunday.
Light rain showers are possible on Saturday during the late evening and overnight hours. Otherwise, the weekend looks to be dry.
