MARQUETTE -- The Kitchi-Mi-Kana cycling group held its annual spring meeting tonight at The Vierling in Marquette. The group meets every year around this time to welcome new members to the club as well as allowing the other members to catch up. KMK also uses the bike night meeting to plan the events that they will hold throughout the coming summer bike season.
"Actually I'm really impressed with the turnout tonight. It's a beautiful night; I thought maybe people would be doing other stuff, so I'm really glad that they decided to come out and check out KMK. This is definitely more than I could have asked for in terms of a turnout," said Andrea Pernsteiner, President of KMK.
At the event, riders had a chance to sign up for the coming races and purchase KMK merchandise as well as grab a bite to eat. One of the upcoming events is the popular Donut Ride on April 22.
