MARQUETTE -- A man charged, after a serious beating outside a Baraga bar in January, has reached a plea agreement.  Anthony Leonard Eagle, Jr. of Baraga pled guilty in Federal Court to assault resulting in serious bodily harm in Marquette Wednesday.

According to the prosecutor, Eagle joined his sister at the Press Box bar in Baraga when the victim, Scott Dompier, made offensive comments to Eagle's sister.  Eagle confronted Dompier later in the evening at the Q- Master bar and a fight ensued in the parking lot.

Dompier sustained injuries to his face, brain trauma and was left outside under a truck for about five hours. He was treated for his injuries and for hypothermia at Marquette General Hospital.

Eagle could get up to 10 years in prison along with fines and restitution.  A sentencing date is scheduled for July 2.
