HOUGHTON -- The 14th annual Pigs N' Heat game is fast approaching for those of you who live in the Copper Country.

A lot of planning and practice has already begun for the competitive hockey game between your favorite firefighters and police officers.  This year there will be an A and B team featuring four periods of hockey.

Hundreds of prizes, including cash, will be available, and you can enter the drawing by buying tickets.  Around $15,000 was raised in 2011 for the relief fund, and the police and fire departments are hoping to raise even more money this year to benefit people in need.

"We think it's really important for us because we're usually the first people on scene that see the people and see the need, and so it's easy for us to collaborate real quickly and get them a check and get them some help right away," said firefighter Annette Butina.

All students from Keweenaw and Houghton Counties in grades K through six are eligible for a free ticket.  The game will be held at Dee Stadium on March 31.
