HOUGHTON COUNTY -- The Houghton County Sheriff's Department is asking for help with any information regarding a missing work crew inmate.

Jeremy Walter Nordstrom, a 28-year-old Calumet man, walked away from work camp on Tuesday from the Houghton County area around 1:20 p.m.  Officials say Nordstrom is a minimum security inmate, unarmed, and has no history of violence.

He is 6'2", 178 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.  Nordstrom was serving a probation violation for larceny and allowing a person to drive in violation of a motor vehicle.

Deputies are searching for him, and anyone with any information is asked to call the Houghton County Sheriff's Department at (906) 482-0055.
