The vehicle left the roadway, flipped over and struck a tree
DOLLAR BAY -- A 30-year-old man is in the hospital following a rollover crash on Saturday. Deputies from the Houghton County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene shortly before 2 a.m. on Main Street near Dogwood Avenue in Dollar Bay.
The man was headed north on Main Street when his vehicle left the roadway, flipped over and then struck a tree, police said. The driver was transported to Portage Health Hospital and later transferred to Marquette General for his injuries.
Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. The accident is still under investigation. Assisting at the scene was the Michigan State Police, Dollar Bay First Responders, and Mercy Ambulance.
