MARQUETTE -- The 29th annual Pigs-N-Heat Fire Relief Fund hockey game Wednesday night at Marquette's Lakeview Arena was a huge hit.
While the final numbers are not in yet, at last count, the money raised was over $15,000. All of the money raised goes to help families in Marquette County who have been displaced due to a fire.
"We're real happy with the attendance of the Pigs-N-Heat game last night; I think we had a record crowd. It's hard to tell because we always get a good crowd, but boy, there sure seemed to be a lot of people in the stands. I believe it was a record crowd," said Fund Director, Brian Olson.
The firefighters who won last year's game in a shootout also won Wednesday night's game by a score of 4-2.
Over 150 prizes that were donated by local businesses were also given out.
The intermissions had plenty of activities for the fans including the chuck-a-puck contest which earned one lucky fan $200.
