GLADSTONE -- There's a public hearing on Monday, March 12, at the Gladstone City Hall Commission Chambers for the 2012-2013 proposed budget.

City Manager Darla Falcon is encouraging the public to attend the 7 p.m. meeting.  Officials have to have an adopted budget before April 1, the beginning of their fiscal year.

People can comment on what's in the budget or even on what's not in it.  Officials are looking at about an $11 million budget for all funds within the city.

Two budget workshops were held earlier this month and didn't get a lot of attendance.

"Anybody can come to the commission Monday night and speak under public comment," said Falcon.  "The commission is more than welcome to hear these comments from the public."

For the most part, it's a maintenance budget.  Due to funding, there are no major projects scheduled this year.
