Facebook chat leads to sexual assault arrest

DAGGETT -- The arrest of a Daggett man came about after detectives were told about a Facebook chat that showed Lyons may have had sexual contact with a minor.

The Michigan State Police report that 24-year-old Jonathon David Lyons was charged with third degree criminal sexual conduct.

A computer was seized as part of the police investigation.

The case against Lyons has been turned over to the Menominee County Prosecutor's Office, and further charges may be filed.

Third degree criminal sexual conduct is a felony, punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
