IRON MOUNTAIN -- A prom dress swap was held today at the Dickinson County Library.

Any girl who donated a dress was allowed to come in at noon and pick out a different one.

For girls who did not donate a dress, they came in at 2:00 p.m. to select one free of charge. This event included shoes and accessories.

"It gives area girls who maybe can't afford a dress or at least all of the other things that go with it a chance to go to prom," said Amanda Griggs, an event organizer. "We do provide a lot of dresses, it's completely free of charge."

Also those who attended the swap were entered into a drawing for gift certificates at various businesses.
