ESCANABA -- The Menominee-Delta-Schoolcraft Community Action Agency offers many programs to assist community members, and one of their year round services is called home delivered meals.

It's more commonly know as Meals on Wheels.  They offer a well balanced, nutritious, dinner that is cooked fresh.

Bob Bourdeau is one of the meal drivers at the Community Action Agency in Escanaba.  He delivers 35 to 40 meals five days a week to seniors.

To be eligible, the recipient must be 60 or older and have difficulty leaving the home unassisted.

"Oh, they love it," said Bourdeau.  "They love to see me every day.  Because most of them, they never see anybody else.  I'm good company to them."

If you're interested in a home delivered meal, you can call your local senior center for more information.
