IRON MOUNTAIN -- Iron Mountain is expected to get at least six inches of snow Tuesday night.
There's only been a small dusting, but the roads are becoming hazardous. Drivers are being cautioned about conditions. Black ice started appearing around five o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The road commission has been working to keep the roads driveable.
Road workers say black ice is always a concern.
“We had some today and we did have sanders out on that today,” said Jim Harris. “With the winter we've had, we actually had a lot of that and used a lot of salt because of the freeze thaw action that has taken effect this winter.”
The road commission says it will be applying lots of salt to for treatment.
