NORWAY -- A regional spelling bee had Dickinson County students spelling their hearts out Tuesday night.

Four grades--fifth through eighth--participated in the event held at Norway.  Students from Iron Mountain, Kingsford, Forest Park, and Norway will go on to participate in the U.P. spelling bee finals.

The event is pretty straightforward, but the pressure is intense.

“I think about it, but if I don't get it, I'll just try my best,” said Simone Ballard.

Simone went on to get second place and will move on to the finals in Ishpeming.
