Even though there may be bad blood between Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan University, students came out for a good cause on Tuesday.
Students lined up at the University Center to compete and donate for the annual NMU vs. MTU Blood Drive. The blood drive already stopped at MTU in January, and now it's the Wildcats' turn.
Even though it is a competition, some students feel it's good to donate anyway.
"I do it so often because it helps save lives, three people per bag," said NMU freshman Christopher Plominski. "This is a good competition. It benefits everyone."
This competion is in its 13th year with NMU winning only twice, including last year.
Following the student donations, they were given snacks and refreshments.
