CHOCOLAY TWP. -- Two cars were involved in an accident Saturday afternoon at the intersection of US-41 and Silver Creek Road in Chocolay Township.

It happened around noon. A black Cadillac that was southbound failed to stop at a red light and hit another car. The jaws of life were used to pry the other car open. The passenger of the Cadillac had minor injuries, police said.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt.
