Snowy conditions should die out slowly on Saturday. Over the course of Friday, several areas, mainly out west received over 7 inches. That will not be the case for Saturday.
Saturday should still see a snowy morning along Lake Superior with maybe an additional inch or two. The rest of Upper Michigan should only see some strong cloud cover. Skies and snowfall will clear up as the afternoon progresses.
Saturday's highs will be seasonal in the mid 20s. Winds will be out of the northwest around 6-12 mph becoming more westerly as night settles in.
Saturday night will see much calmer winds with little if any new snowfall. Some flurries are still possible along Lake Superior. Lows will mainly be in the 10s, but colder inland toward Wisconsin with temperatures in the single digits. Skies will be mostly cloudy.
A low pressure system will be bearing down on the U.P. on Sunday. Temperature-wise, it will bring an initial southerly flow that will make things above average. Highs will be above freezing and lows will only fall to the mid 20s.
Skies will be overcast all day, and snow is very likely. We should see at least an inch in the daytime across the U.P. with a southerly wind. This means that areas along Lake Michigan may see some lake enhancement.
Sunday night will see some heavier snow producing a few inches.
The rest of the week looks to be cooling down a bit more. We should also see some more snow later in the week.
