You'll be able to fish on any body of water
MARQUETTE -- This weekend, Michiganders and non-residents in the state will be able to fish on any body of water without a fishing license.
All other fishing regulations, including bag limits, will still apply.
The Winter Free Fishing Weekend has been in place since 1984. The idea is to promote the state's plentiful fishing opportunities.
In conjunction with the Free Fishing Weekend, several events are planned, including the 28th annual Moose Lodge Fishing Derby on Lake Au Train.
