HANCOCK -- Sunday was the fifth annual Barnelopet ski event at Maasto Hiihto ski trails.

Dozens of kids lined up at the starting line to race around the ski trails. The event is sponsored by the Sons of Norway. Even some siblings came out to share the experience together.

"I always liked skiing, it's fun," said Kristen Koskiniemi.

"Because it's fun and there's a lot of people that do it," said Kevin Koskiniemi.

Following the races, kids enjoyed some hot chocolate and cookies.
