Snyder said his big push for relentless positive action in the state of Michigan is a quality he looks for in a presidential candidate

MARQUETTE -- Governor Rick Snyder revealed some of his plans on endorsing a GOP presidential candidate while on a recent visit to the Upper Peninsula.

He told TV6 Reporter Eric Kane he plans on endorsing a candidate within the next coming week. The reason for his delay he said was he wanted to focus on state issues rather than federal issues. Snyder said his big push for relentless positive action in the state of Michigan is a quality he looks for in a presidential candidate.

"It is about the attitude of solving problems, not blaming people, not taking credit but showing results. Politicians talk too much, and we need to get over that and we need to get common sense of government about getting rid of waste about being effective and efficient," said Snyder.

Snyder also addressed issues on mining and education funding.
