If Sunday's official high temperature is over 41 degrees, it will be the warmest it's been since December 26! It's a very real possibility as Sunday will be even warmer than Saturday.
As a blocking pattern allows high pressure to persist over the Great Plains, we will be experiencing a light west wind bringing in warm Pacific air. Highs will easily be over 40 degrees for all of the U.P. with some areas west approaching 50.
Skies should be mostly sunny. Clear and calm conditions should persist through the nighttime. Sunday's lows will only be in the upper 20s and low 30s.
Monday will see more warmer than average highs, but not as warm as Sunday. Temperatures should reach into the high 30s. A 40 degree high is not out of the question.
Monday night is when we see the first real change in the weather. A cold front will be passing from the northwest. Winds will pick up, we should see some light snow, and temperatures will drop into the 10s.
Light snow should last through much of Tuesday, mostly around the lake, but clearing up Tuesday night.
The rest of the week will finally become more seasonal with temperatures and much colder later in the week where we should see some more snowfall.
