ESCANABA -- The students at Holy Name School in Escanaba are putting their entrepreneurship skills to good use by selling homemade goods to help a local charity.
This is the second year the students have held Entrepreneur Day. Throughout the week the classes have been working hard to create projects to sell.
The unique items range from face painting, bookmarks, pillows, and smoothies. The Tattoo Stand got a lot of buzz from the youngsters.
The items are priced at two dollars or less, and proceeds will go to St. Vincent de Paul.
"If there is an accident with a family and they do not have enough food, well, if we donate to St. Vincent de Paul, the pantry will help them have food and clothes," said participant Ricara Deem.
The customers were students, teachers, and parents. Last year the kids raised $300.
