IRON MOUNTAIN -- Kids in Iron Mountain got their blood pumping Tuesday to raise money for the American Heart Association.

Students at the Bishop Baraga Catholic school in Iron Mountain took part in "Jump Rope for Heart" event. They collected pledges to raise money for heart research.

It's not only a good cause. The kids get a lot of exercise, too.

"They just like being out of the classroom, jumping rope all day.   We've had a jump rope going since eight o'clock this morning," said teacher, Annette Meiner.

Bishop Baraga Catholic School raised over $600 during the event.
