The 11th annual Culinary Journey is a fundraiser for the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum

MARQUETTE -- Many hungry people in Marquette were a part of a culinary journey to taste the world on a plate Sunday.

The 11th annual Culinary Journey is a fundraiser for the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum. About 200 people arrived for the food and live music. Admission was $60 for one person or $100 for two. Fifteen vendors catered the event, more than any previous year.

Most vendors were from Marquette and all offered a unique ethnic dish.

"The offerings are amazing, from fondue to breads to chocolate delicacies, it's amazing," said Nheena Weyer Ittner, director of U.P. Children's Museum.

The Culinary Journey is on the last Sunday of every January.
