Lake effect snowfall will last through much of Sunday. It should clear away slowly through the afternoon and evening as winds shift. Sunday night should see mostly to partly cloudy skies.
New accumulations from Saturday night into Sunday could exceed 3-5 inches in the northwest-wind snow belts. The southern U.P. should not see any snow. This is strictly a lake effect snow event and will remain concentrated to the north.
NWS Warnings and Advisories are scheduled to expire by 1pm ET.
Sunday's highs will be a bit colder around 20. High pressure will move in and make lows drop considerably to around 0 degrees. Northwest winds will be strong and make wind chill a serious factor, not to mention some blowing snow, but as night settles in, winds should shift southwest and snow will stop completely.
Monday will see warmer air out of the south with a passing warm front. Highs will be near 30. A little snow is possible, but skies should be mostly cloudy. Monday night will see mild lows around 20.
The rest of the week looks to have intermittent snow showers and more above average temperatures.
