MARQUETTE -- Police have released some details on Sunday's drive by shooting.

The shotgun fired in Marquette over the weekend led to the arrests of three men:  two 17-year-old twin brothers and a 21-year-old male ,all from Marquette. Their names are withheld pending charges on the incident.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday morning at a single-home residence on Center Street. Neighbors said they heard a loud bang and saw what looked like a pickup truck drive off.

"We heard the gunshot, we looked outside after we heard a truck drive off or a louder vehicle, and looked outside and we saw their window busted," said Michael Mankowski. "Some kids came out so me, being curious, I came out and asked them what happened and they said they got shot at."

It was an isolated incident, police said. The residents of the home knew the alleged shooters.

"They gave a vehicle description and some names of the possible subjects involved," said Detective Michael Kohler of the Marquette City Police Department.

It didnt take long to capture the suspects. Police found their vehicle an hour later on Front Street.

"This was a result of something that had been happening between the two parties throughout the day that resulted in this and was not just a random act that citizens need to be concerned about," Kohler said.

Neighbors told us the shooting left a loud mark on the quiet street, but this isn't the first disturbance at the home.

"There's been some random events that's happened next door; this is a little bit more intense," Mankowski said.

The homeowners did not want to speak to us on camera and said they weren't home at the time, but they're glad no one was hurt.
