ISHPEMING -- Snow tubers in Ishpeming can finally satisfy their tubing cravings.

The Al Quaal Recreation Area tube slide is now open for the season. Tubers were out in full force on Saturday enjoying the calm weather. The slide is next to a warming hut to keep you from freezing. A tow rope makes the trek up the hill much easier.

A day pass is only $8 per person or $60 for ten people.

"Yeah, you just come up to the top here. Some of us get a running start, we dive down, tow rope brings you back up, kids got cold so we went into the warming hut for a little while and warmed up and came back out," said Kelley Graham, a tuber.

The tube slide is open on Saturdays and Sundays from noon until 5 p.m., weather permitting.
