Jig-It is coming to Dickinson County for their first annual ice fishing tournament on Lake Antoine
DICKINSON CO. -- Jig-It is coming to Dickinson County for their first annual ice fishing tournament on Lake Antoine.
Registration begins at 8 p.m. central time Saturday, and the contest will begin at 11 p.m. The $25 will get you a pre-drilled hole and the opportunity to win the grand prize of $25,000. Jig-It organizers are hoping that this will eventually turn into a very big event.
"Several years ago there was a countywide fishing derby, and going back about a decade, we had over 900 people participate here in Dickinson County fishing derby, so we're really hoping that we can regain that enthusiasm in an event like this," said Benjamin Wood, Jig-It organizer.
Other prizes include a Four Season resort package, a two-man portable shelter, and a dining package.
