ESCANABA -- Saturday is Super Soups Saturday at the Bonifas Fine Arts Center in Escanaba.
Chef and author Jeremy Pomeroy gave a preview of one of the three original soups he'll be making. It's called Denver Drop Soup. It's one of the recipes in his book, A Pocketful of Soup. The book will also be available for purchase on Saturday.
Pomeroy has enjoyed cooking for the last 14 years. On Friday his daughters and their friend acted as food testers.
If you would like to learn the secrets of soup making, his lesson on Saturday runs from 1 to 3 p.m.
"Cooking is my life right now," said Pomeroy. "It's what I do and what I'm good at. And when they're happy, I'm happy. That makes me happy."
There is still time to call the Bonifas Fine Arts Center to make reservations.
It costs $12 for members and $15 for non-members.
