MARQUETTE COUNTY -- Local non-profit organizations that would like to receive funding from United Way of Marquette County need to apply before the upcoming deadline.

The deadline to apply for funding for the 2012 fall campaign is Tuesday, January 24.  United Way provides funding for agencies and programs that provide services to areas in need in the community, like youth development or assisting those with medical disabilities.

Last year United Way helped to fund 31 programs.  Only 501C3 programs are eligible for funding from United Way.

"In order to be part of the fall campaign and to be eligible for program funding, they need to complete an admission packet," said United Way Director of Operations Barbara Meyer.

To receive a copy of the pack to apply, contact the United Way of Marquette County directly, or visit their website.
