MARQUETTE -- A Marquette Boy Scout is making a difference in the community and earning a step in the direction to becoming an Eagle Scout.
Ross Johnson, who has dyslexia, hosted an assistive technology seminar that focused on the different ways to make learning easier for people with disabilities.
The seminar had guest speakers and several booths that had specific learning guides for people with disabilities.
The booths focused on text to speech and voice to text assisted communication.
"My overall goal for tonight is to get people to know about assistive technology, know that its used in the community, and hopefully we can get more people to learn and educate about this," said Johnson.
Johnson spent over 800 hours on the project.
