Anytime Fitness in Harvey got its customers moving Sunday with their second annual circuit training demo

HARVEY -- It's not too late to get healthy for the new year. One local gym is offering customers a smart way to get fit.

Anytime Fitness in Harvey got its customers moving Sunday with their second annual circuit training demo. Members had the chance to try out different types of circuit training while rotating in intervals. As part of their strong versus weight motto, personal trainers stressed the importance of working out properly without injury.

"What we're focusing on is really teaching our members at our gym 'form'," said personal trainer Liz Mathie.

"We want people to come and know how to work out properly. We want them to understand their body and how easily they can injure themselves, but how easily they can also help themselves better if they do use proper form. So with our circuit classes, we're motivating them as a group."

The fitness center plans to hold demos like this again in the near future.
