21 contestants entered this year's theme, 'Winter Wonderland,' at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette
Some locals got a taste of a small town Cake Boss competition on Saturday. The Peter White Public Library in Marquette held its second annual cake contest. Twenty-one contestants entered this year's theme, 'Winter Wonderland.'
They remained anonymous while the audience and judge panel voted in three categories: professional, adult amateur, and youth amateur. Cash prizes were also on hand for the winners.
"Later, once the judging is complete and the prizes are rewarded, the bakers are going to cut their creations and serve them to us, so that'll be really fun," said Shelley Janofski, head of Tasty Reads at the library.
If you missed Saturday's event, you can always sign up for next year. Stop by the library for more information.
