FLORENCE COUNTY -- A Wisconsin man is dead after a rollover crash in Florence County early on Thursday morning.

According to the Florence County Sheriff's Department, it happened at 12:10 a.m. CT on US-2 at 2nd Crossing Road.

A pick up driven by 56-year-old Mark W. Williams failed to negotiate a corner, crossed the centerline, left the road and went more than 300 feet before flipping onto the roof.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to officials at the sheriff's office, lack of seat belt use, speed, and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors to the fatal crash.
