IRON COUNTY, MI -- A Wisconsin teen is recovering after a snowmobile accident in Iron County, Michigan.
According to the Iron County Sheriff's Department, this happened on Trail #2, east of Forest Highway 16, around 1:40 p.m. Sunday.
The 15-year-old driver failed to negotiate a curve and lost control. The sled left the travel portion of the trail.
The boy was thrown from the snowmobile before it hit some trees. He was taken to North Star Health System in Iron River for treatment of a leg injury.
Assisting at the scene were members of North Star EMS, Michigan DNR and Michigan State Police.
