IRON MOUNTAIN -- Doing the right thing earlier this year will mean a very Merry Christmas for a Dickinson County person this weekend.

On June 8, a large amount of money was found at the Dickinson County Hospital and turned over to the Iron Mountain Police. However, despite efforts to find the owner, the money went unclaimed.

According to the Iron Mountain Police, the unclaimed money will be now turned over to the finder.

They asked to not be identified.

The Iron Mountain Police Department will be mailing them a cashiers check for the amount of money they found:  $500.
