MARQUETTE -- A couple of Marquette restaurants are getting into the giving spirit this holiday season.

Hudson's Classic Grill and Perkins are partnering with the Salvation Army and donating a combined 500 meals.

The two restaurants are donating their free meal gift certificates to the Salvation Army, where they will be given to people who need a little extra Christmas cheer.

"We just decided this was the best way to give back to the community; to thank them for supporting us through the challenging years," said Hudson's General Manager, Rick Overbey.

The certificates can be used on Tuesdays and have been going on since late November and are good until the Tuesday after Christmas.
