Home a total loss after morning fire

THOMPSON TOWNSHIP -- One of the units of the Mountain Ash Resort in Schoolcraft County is a total loss after an early morning fire last week.

Thompson Township firefighters were called out around 3:45 a.m. on Friday morning to the home, located along Indian Lake.

The home owners smelled smoke and called for assistance.

Nobody was hurt, but firefighters were hindered by high winds.
