Woman hit by vehicle in Houghton

HOUGHTON -- A 31-year-old woman was sent to Portage Health System in Hancock after being hit by a vehicle while running on December 15.

At around 7:30 a.m. a vehicle driven by an 80-year-old man struck the woman on Sharon Avenue near Military in Houghton.

The woman sustained injuries and was transported to Portage Health System in Hancock. We have not received an update on her condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
