The Gwinn High School drama club presented "It's a Wonderful Life, a 1940's Radio Drama" this weekend.

GWINN -- Gwinn High School's cafetorium was home to a nearly forgotten form of theater.

The Gwinn High School drama club presented "It's a Wonderful Life, a 1940's Radio Drama" this weekend. The cast was comprised of 7th through 12th graders from Gwinn middle and high schools.

The set is supposed to emulate what the inside of a radio studio would look like during a radio drama, before televisions were a common household item. The actors take their turns at the microphones while a team on the side makes all of the sounds for the listeners.

Sunday was their final performance.

"It's kind of sad, you know? You get used to seeing all these people every day for months and months and then it's just over," Kara Wixtrom, cast member, said.

The drama club's spring musical will be the "Fiddler on the Roof" scheduled for late March.
