ESCANABA -- Interviews were held on Thursday in Delta County Probate Court to fill the Delta County Treasurer position, but the announcement won't be revealed until Friday.

The four applicants who were publicly interviewed are Wendy Holzenkamp, Irene Lenberg, Hope Rudden, and Thomas Sabor.

Whoever takes over current Treasurer Sandra Buckland's job will handle the revenue for the county. They'll also work with banks to ensure the money is invested properly.

"I would hope that they would bring an accounting background and a customer service background to the position," said Delta County Clerk Nancy Kolich, "and also a willingness to work with the board to ensure that things work smoothly in the county."

The committee will announce the new County Treasurer on Friday in probate court.
