Controlled propane burn in Munising

MUNISING -- There was a controlled burn of old propane tanks in Munising on Wednesday.

Lagasco needed to ensure that all propane is out of the tanks before they can be moved. They did that by relieving the pressure through a pipe and burning off the gas with an open flame.

This process makes a lot of noise. The Munising Fire Department was aware of the situation, and there are no reports of any problems that occurred with the burn.
