MARQUETTE -- Still trying to feel that Christmas spirit?  Downtown EyeCare in Marquette is sponsoring horse drawn carriage rides, Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.

The rides are free and fun for the whole family. The ride tours the streets of downtown Marquette, departing from the Marquette Commons on South Third Street.

Downtown EyeCare says it's an event they're proud to be a part of.

"We're very lucky to be able to have the carriage rides in Marquette, the majestic animals, the sleigh ride, just the blanket and the coziness of the whole atmosphere of the holiday season," said Jenny Webb, owner of Downtown EyeCare.

The last ride departs from the Commons at 7:45 p.m. sharp.
