KINGSFORD -- The city of Kingsford has a roller derby team that competes all over the U.P.  The Kingsford Krush was formed last January with many members never having tried the sport before.  Since then they've been honing their skills and getting ready to "Krush" the competition.

It's not all about the skating, however. They do community work whenever they can, grateful to the members of the town that support them.

“I love it because I not only met some great, wonderful skaters, I've grown myself as a person, and I've also been involved a lot more in the community because everything we do, we strive to give back in one way or the other,” said Jennifer Johnson.

The Krush's next match is January 14 at Skate Boulevard in Kingsford.

They are always looking for new skaters to join the team.
