CALUMET -- For those in the Copper Country, Christmas doesn't get more beautiful than it does in Calumet.

Each Saturday in December, the community hosts a range of winter and Christmas-themed events from a Christmas farmer's market to Christmas treats to visits with Santa.

"It's just a nice place to come and visit; it's kind of in the middle of a lot of the things that go on up here in the Keweenaw, so just going to various events, locations and events around here, we'll bring you though Calumet and we'll bring you into a town that's welcoming to people from all over," said Elmore Reese of Main Street Calumet.

Each Saturday features a special event, and this week, the Copper Dog 150 pups were available to give children a spin in their sleds. Events generally last from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
